The county seat is Columbia, where the Boone County Courthouse stands. Rock Bridge Memorial State Park, Finger Lakes State Park and Jewell Cemetery State Historic Site have Columbia addresses. The Katy Trail follows the Missouri River past Hartsburg, McBaine and Rocheport.
