Fulton Discipline imposed ordinance (§ 2-303)
Chapter 2: Administration · Article IV. Officers and Employees
Discipline under the published personnel rules may be imposed by an employee's department head. Discipline shall be, to the extent possible, progressive in nature and shall be intended to correct an employee's behavior if required, rather than to be punitive in nature. Such discipline will be imposed in accordance with the published personnel rules and regulations. Notwithstanding the desire that discipline be progressive in nature, and that employees' behavior be improved rather than having employees replaced, it may be necessary from time to time that employees be terminated from municipal service. Such personnel actions shall be based upon guidelines established by the director of administration.
