Ashland’s Board of Aldermen in southern Boone County has appointed Thad Stubbs to fill the open Ward 3 seat on the board, at a special meeting Oct. 5.
Stubbs’ appointment was the main business on the city’s agenda for the Oct. 5 special meeting, which listed “Thad Stubbs–Alderman Ward 3” under appointments and attached his résumé. The Boone County Journal reported that aldermen approved him unanimously and that he replaces Bryce Beal, who resigned Sept. 23 after moving outside the ward.
Ashland voters have the rest of the county ballot to decide next week; our Boone County ballot guide covers Proposition L and the other measures. Ashland students had a big week too, with two national FFA champions.
