The Pedaler’s Jamboree, a two-day bicycle music festival on the Katy Trail, rides through Rocheport both ways and opens with a kickoff party here on May 28.
The Jamboree runs from Columbia to Boonville and back, with live music at the trail stops. The trail itself is the subject of a new documentary, The Trail State. Riders start at Flat Branch Park in Columbia. The festival’s Details page gives these Saturday distances:
- McBaine: 9.4 miles
- Rocheport: 18.8 miles
- Franklin: 29.2 miles
- Boonville’s Kemper Park: 32.7 miles
Kemper Park has the main stage and free camping for registered riders. Sunday runs the same route back. Rocheport is a stop both days, and the town’s own fall music day, Rocheport Live!, showed how many venues sit within a few blocks of the trailhead.
The Drinks page, last updated in May 2026, says beer passports are good at the bars in McBaine, Rocheport and Franklin, but not at the Boonville main stage. A passport is six beers for $35, and a single beer ticket is $7.
The Friday kickoff in Rocheport
The night before the ride, the festival holds its pre-ride party, the Hoedown, on Friday, May 28, 2027, at Off Track Events headquarters, 420 N. Roby Farm Road, the former Missouri River City Antique Mall complex next to the I-70 exit. Gates open at 6 p.m., according to the festival’s Hoedown page.
The party is free for anyone with a Weekend Rider Pass. Everyone else pays $25 at the event after 6 p.m. The schedule lists bingo with a white elephant exchange at 7 p.m., an indoor concert at 8 p.m., live music in the barn at 9 p.m. and a DJ in the Union Hall from 10:30 p.m. to midnight. Performers and food trucks are listed as “TBA.” The site has no drinking water, so bring your own. Camping is available, and rider packet pickup is Friday night and Saturday morning at the beer garden by the Dance Hall.
What a pass includes
The Details page lists two bags hauled to camp, sag support, camping, free entry to trailside music venues, a Friday night party ticket, Sunday pancakes, a sticker pack and a patch. Bags go to the campsite, not to hotels. The Hoedown page says riders who start in Rocheport can have bags taken to Kemper Park.
Some of the festival’s ride pages carry no year and may hold details from earlier editions, so check pass contents, distances and times on the festival site before the ride.
Shuttles
The Shuttles page lists a free Boonville bus loop from Kemper Park to hotels and a Sunday bus to Columbia at $15 a seat. Sag vans pick up at Rocheport City Park.
Storms and floods
The Weather & Floods page says staff monitor NOAA Weather Radio. The Rocheport Tunnel is listed as a storm shelter, along with the YMCA building next to Kemper Park in Boonville. If flooding closes part of the trail, a detour will be posted.
How to register
The festival has not posted 2027 ride dates, pass prices or an on-sale date. Details will be at pedalersjamboree.com.
