Kingdom City Private Streets ordinance (§ 510.220)

Chapter 510: Infrastructure · Article II. Street Construction

A. No private street shall be constructed unless such street is constructed according to the design standards of the Village.

B. All private streets shall be maintained by the property owners abutting the street. In the event that the Board of Trustees determines that any private street is not being adequately maintained, such that it creates a hazard, the Board of Trustees shall issue a written order to the property owners requiring that such street be returned to the original design standard within sixty (60) days. Such notice shall be delivered to the owners of U.S. Mail at the address shown in the records of the Callaway County Collector. If the property owners fail to commence repairs within the sixty (60) day period, the road shall be declared to be a public nuisance and the Village shall contract to make such repairs at the expense of the property owners proportionately to the length of the road abutting their property.
