Glasgow Permit ordinance (§ 503.040)
Chapter 503: Building Permits and Code Enforcement
In short: The city must issue a building permit once you pay the fee, as long as the project meets the zoning and subdivision ordinances (Chapters 405 and 410) and your application shows the work is likely to follow the city's building codes (Chapters 415 and 500).
Our plain-English summary, not the official text or legal advice. The ordinance below is what counts.
If the proposed construction meets the requirements of the Glasgow zoning and subdivision ordinances (Chapter 405 and Chapter 410 of this Code, respectively) and the application indicates the likelihood that the construction will be done in a manner consistent with the City's building codes (Chapter 415 and Chapter 500), the City shall issue a building permit upon payment of the fee.
