Glasgow Fee ordinance (§ 503.030)

Chapter 503: Building Permits and Code Enforcement

In short: A permit isn't issued until the fee is paid. Construction costing over $200 but under $1,000 pays a $5 minimum; above $1,000, add $2 per $1,000 (or major fraction). The fee is estimated at application and adjusted after final inspection.

Our plain-English summary, not the official text or legal advice. The ordinance below is what counts.

A. No permit shall be issued except on payment of the appropriate fee.

B. The initial determination of the fee shall be made upon the application, which will be adjusted as required upon the final inspection.

C. The fee shall be:

1. Five dollars ($5.00) minimum fee, for construction costing less than one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) but more than two hundred dollars ($200.00).

2. Two dollars ($2.00) per one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) in construction cost, for each one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) or major fraction thereof above the initial one thousand dollars ($1,000.00).
