Chapter 98: Streets, Sidewalks and Other Public Places · Article III. Excavations

Our plain-English summary, not the official text or legal advice. The ordinance below is what counts.
Any person having occasion to make frequent excavations in or under the streets, avenues, boulevards, roads, alleys, highways, sidewalks or public easements in the city may, in lieu of the deposit required in section 98-59, keep a standing minimum deposit with the city in the sum of $1,000.00 to cover the restoration of any street, avenue, boulevard, road, alley, highway, sidewalk or public easement where such excavation shall not
exceed the width of the street, avenue, boulevard, road, alley, highway, sidewalk or public easement in which such excavations are made, which deposit shall be subject to all the conditions of sections 98-59 and 98-60, except that such deposit shall at all times be maintained at $1,000.00.
