Fulton Curbing, fencing or railing ordinance (§ 30-92)
Chapter 30: Cemeteries · Article III. Graves
No person shall be allowed to put curbing around any grave in any cemetery under the control of the city. Care shall not be given by the city to any grave upon which the curbing, fencing or railing has not been removed except for existing curbing, fencing or railing.
The material used in the filling of graves shall be good, clean earth. Any owner of a grave which is low or swags because of the topography thereon or because of the height of surrounding graves which have been formerly filled shall have the right to fill his grave to a depth that will make it conform to or harmonize with the surrounding graves after obtaining authorization from the sexton.
Where the ground of a grave and that of adjacent graves has a uniform slope, the owner will be permitted to grade his grave to a depth of 12 inches; provided, however, the general plans of filling shall be done in accordance with the rules that may be made by the sexton, which rules shall conform as near as may be to this section.
