Fulton Procuring office by improper means ordinance (§ 2-271)

Every city officer who shall have taken, accepted, received or obtained, directly or indirectly, his office, appointment, place of trust, preferment or emolument by the act, influence, aid or assistance of another upon any agreement or consideration mentioned in sections 2-269 and 2-270 shall be subject and liable to removal from office for cause.
