Westbound Interstate 70 drops to one lane at the Boone–Callaway county line near Cedar Creek from 6 to 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 28, for barrier work.
Crews are setting more barrier wall in the work zone around mile marker 136, the Missouri Department of Transportation says. Lanes through that stretch are already narrowed to 12 feet for the Improve I-70 project between Columbia and Kingdom City, so drivers heading west toward Columbia and Rocheport in the morning should expect backups and allow extra time.
Farther west, the Route J interchange near Rocheport is still closed, with MoDOT now expecting it to reopen in mid-December. Current closures across the area are on our road conditions page, and MoDOT takes questions at 888-ASK-MODOT (888-275-6636).
