Fayette R-III students in Howard County can’t use personal phones or other devices from the time they arrive at school until dismissal, under Missouri’s new state law.
The Fayette R-III School District posted a notice on its home page saying it will follow the law, which bars personal electronic communication devices during the school day. The district tells students and parents to check the student handbook for the expectations and the consequences for breaking the rule.
Fayette’s isn’t the only district in our coverage area working on rules for the school day this fall: Southern Boone’s board recently stepped up door security. For a look at Fayette itself, see our guide to the courthouse square.
