Primary Election Tuesday — Know Your District Before You Vote

Meanwhile, Missourinet reports the Secretary of State’s office is seeing a bigger-than-usual early voting turnout statewide ahead of the August 4 primary. MU Lands the Largest Federal Grant in State History
The University of Missouri is set to lead a $160 million federal grant — the biggest in state history — alongside 240 partner institutions to build a Midwest hub for rare-minerals research and logistics, Missourinet reports. Mizzou is one of Boone County’s largest institutions, so a grant this size is worth watching for what it means for local jobs and research spillover in the years ahead.

Roads & I-70
Crews set new girders for the Providence Road bridge overnight into this morning — that’s on the Rocheport-to-Route 63 stretch, part of MoDOT’s ongoing $441 million I-70 widening project. I-70 is down to one lane each direction through the work zone, with rolling roadblocks for westbound traffic and all Providence Road ramps closed until the bridge is done in October, per MoDOT’s project update. Closer to home, several outer roads and ramps around the Route J / MO-163 interchange remain closed for the parallel Boonville–Rocheport phase of the same rebuild — check MoDOT’s Improve I-70 hub before you route through that stretch.
