Kingdom City Water Rates to Be Charged ordinance (§ 700.173)

In short: Residential customers pay a monthly base fee of $4.00 for water and $11.00 for wastewater, plus $5.00 per 1,000 gallons for each from Nov. 1, 2024, rising 25 cents a year. Use over 10,000 gallons adds 20%. Late fees are $50 residential, 20% commercial; reconnection is $100.

A. From and after the 30th day of October, 2024, following enactment of this Section the monthly rates required and which shall be charged and collected by the Village of Kingdom City, Missouri, for water and wastewater service furnished by the Village of Kingdom City, Missouri, shall be as follows:
1. A base fee of four dollars ($4.00) water and a base fee of eleven ($11.00) per month wastewater, for every residential property served by the system, a base fee of seventeen dollars fifty cents ($17.50) water and seventeen dollars fifty cents ($17.50) wastewater for non- residential micro users per month, and a base fee of thirty-five dollars ($35.00) water and a base fee thirty-five dollars ($35.00) wastewater commercial up to the first thousand gallons (including no usage); and
2. For each one thousand (1,000) gallons of water and wastewater residential, the following usage rate shall apply:

4. For users using more than ten thousand (10,000) gallons per month, an additional charge of twenty percent (20%) over the existing usage charge.
5. Definitions.
a. "Residential," means a property that is used primarily for residential dwelling, not including properties used for occupancies of less than thirty (30) days.
b. "Micro-non-residential," means a property which is used exclusively for charitable purposes and consumes less than three thousand (3,000) gallons per year.
c. All other properties will be considered commercial
B. Effective immediately the late fee for utility bills will be fifty dollars ($50.00) for residential customers and twenty percent (20%) above the bill for commercial users. The reconnect fee for any service that is shut off will be one hundred dollars ($100.00) for time and labor.
