Hallsville Contract with Chief of Police; Term ordinance (§ 200.080)

A. The Board of Aldermen is authorized to enter into a written contract with such Chief of Police and is authorized to bind the City for such contract to pay as compensation to said Chief of Police the sum to be determined by the Board of Aldermen in the City of Hallsville.

B. The contract provided for in this Chapter may be for a term as the Board of Aldermen, in its discretion, deems proper, not to exceed two (2) years.

C. The Chief of Police shall serve for such term as may be provided by statute or ordinance, and may be removed from office in the manner provided by statute or ordinance for the removal of officers.
