Fulton Composition; probationary period ordinance (§ 70-27)

(a) The police department established pursuant to section 70-26 shall have a chief of police, a deputy chief of police, a minimum of three sergeants and 17 other officers. The structure of the department shall be recommended by the chief of police to the director of administration who shall have the authority to implement the structure with the consent of the council.

(b) No person shall be granted full tenure as a regular police officer until such person shall have satisfactorily completed a probationary period of 12 months.
