Fulton Purchase of grave spaces ordinance (§ 30-37)

The cost of grave spaces in city cemeteries shall be $500.00 for a "standard" four-foot by ten-foot grave space and $300.00 for a "half" four-foot by five-foot grave space. Half spaces shall only be sold in the lower portion of Hillcrest Section 7.

Grave spaces in city cemeteries are sold with the understanding that rock or other foreign debris may exist below the surface of the space. The city shall make every reasonable effort to accommodate burials in a different space of equal value should the purchased space be deemed unable to be excavated without

additional cost or equipment due to rock or other unspecified debris or objects. Should the family wish to proceed with burial in spite of the additional cost and equipment required, the family shall be required to pay the city's grave opening contractor the additional cost as specified in the city's contract with the grave opener.
