Fulton Departmental organization ordinance (§ 2-96)

(a) The administrative service of the city shall be divided under the director of administration. The city council may further create, reorganize, alter, abolish or discontinue any department so created not inconsistent with the Charter into the following departments and heads thereof:

(1) Legal department, city attorney, city counselor.

(2) Police department, police chief.

(3) Fire department, fire chief.

(4) Utility department, superintendent of utilities.

(5) Finance department, chief financial officer.

(6) Public works department, city engineer.

(7) Parks and recreation department, parks and recreation superintendent.

(8) Solid waste department, solid waste manager.

(9) Office of the city clerk, city clerk.

(10) Planning and code enforcement department, planning and code enforcement officer. (b)

The council shall annually, prior to the adoption of the city budget, review the organization chart and shall make any such revisions as may be required.
