Fulton Fees for failure to obtain a permit ordinance (§ 18-2)

In addition to any other remedy of law, the following schedule of increased permit fees shall be in effect:

(1) When work for which a permit is required by this Code is started prior to obtaining the permit, the fee specified shall be doubled. Should a second offense by committed by starting the same work without a permit, the fee shall be three times the customary permit fee.

(2) If a permit is not obtained within five days after receipt of written notification to do so, the fee shall be, in addition to the usual fee or increased fee as provided in subsection (1) of this section, a sum established by the city council from time to time, for each day in excess of the five days that transpire prior to obtaining the permit.
