Fayette Purpose ordinance (§ 125.190)

A. It is the purpose of this Article to provide for a complete inventory of all the positions of employment within the City of Fayette and give an accurate description and specifications for each class of employment in keeping with the job descriptions maintained and on file. Titles and ranges of duties and responsibilities of each class of employment are standardized.

B. Department Head/Superintendent Responsibilities. Each department head/Superintendent of the City shall file with the Board of Aldermen a list of all titled personnel and any specifications different from those job descriptions on file. Each Department Head/Superintendent shall file with the Board of Aldermen specifications and responsibilities of any new positions established or duties of existing positions that change.
