A KYZ pulse circuit board costs $155, nonrefundable. Partial billing periods are prorated.

Our plain-English summary, not the official text or legal advice. The ordinance below is what counts.

(a) Service initiation fee. Each customer shall be charged a service initiation fee of fifteen dollars ($15.00).

(b) Disconnect/reconnect fees:

(1) A fee shall be charged to a customer's account when a worker is dispatched to disconnect the customer's water or electric service for nonpayment. The fee shall be thirty dollars ($30.00) for residential customers and one hundred dollars ($100.00) for all other customers.

(2) An additional reconnection fee of sixty dollars ($60.00) shall be charged to a residential customer's account, and an additional reconnection fee of one hundred dollars ($100.00) for all other customers, when the customer requests and receives same day reconnection service or requests and receives reconnection service on a weekend, a city holiday or any other time outside the regular working hours of the water and electric utilities.

(3) A fee equal to the actual costs of the city shall be charged to all accounts when it is necessary to utilize city forces to physically disconnect sewer services. Reconnection charges shall also be levied against the affected account on the basis of the actual costs of reconnection.

(c) Minimum monthly charges. Minimum monthly charges established in this Code for utility services shall be assessed for each location where the utility service is provided. Minimum monthly charges for water services and fixed monthly customer charges for electric services and fixed monthly service charges for sewage service shall be prorated based on the number of days of service received when a customer receives service at a location for less than a complete billing period.

(d) Additional charge for KYZ pulse circuit board. If a large or small general service customer requests the installation of a KYZ pulse circuit board into the electric meter for customer's sole use, the customer shall pay a nonrefundable fee of one hundred fifty-five dollars ($155.00) for the installation of the KYZ pulse circuit board.
