Boonville Purchase of lots ordinance (§ 6-10)

Chapter 6: Cemeteries

Persons wishing to purchase lots in the Boonville Memorial Gardens may, upon application to the city clerk and upon the payment to the city clerk of the price of the lot, obtain a certificate of conveyance for such lot, properly signed by the mayor and countersigned by the city clerk, under the common seal of the city, specifying that the purchaser to whom the same is issued is the owner of the lot or lots described therein by numbers, as laid down on such plat, for the purpose of interment. Such certificate shall vest in the purchaser the ownership to such lot for the sole purpose of interment, under the regulations of the council; and such certificates shall be entitled to be recorded in the office of Recorder of Deeds of Cooper County, MO., without further acknowledgement; and such descriptions of lots shall be deemed and recognized as sufficient description thereof.
