Boonville Owner accountability ordinance (§ 4-26)
Chapter 4: Animals and Fowl · Article II. Owner Responsibility
In an effort to promote personal accountability and responsible animal ownership, it is the intent of the city council to govern the behavior of animal owners so that animals in their care are kept and controlled in a manner that is amenable to the city and the residents within, therefore, all violations that are cited in this chapter are to the owner regardless of whether the same or different animals are the subject of the offense. Therefore, as an example of this meaning, a violation of this chapter shall be considered a second or subsequent violation regardless if the first violation involved a different animal.
