Boonville Sergeant at arms ordinance (§ 2-111)
Chapter 2: Administration · Division 1. Generally
The chief of police shall be ex officio sergeant at arms of the city council and shall attend its meetings and execute all its orders. He shall keep the council chamber in order, and provide light and heat and other necessary articles therefor at the city's expense.
