Lewis Library is Glasgow’s public library, in a historic building on Market Street. Its library board runs it, and a Friends group raises money for it.
Highlights
- Open: Monday through Saturday, 2 to 6 p.m.
- Capital campaign: to finish restoring the grand staircase, make the building easier to reach for people with mobility issues, and add computers and technology for patrons. New heating and cooling for the historic upstairs is planned later.
- Friends of Lewis Library: 2025–2026 dues are $5 for one person or $10 for a family.
