Callaway County Early Voting: Where, When, What to Bring

Callaway County voters can cast a ballot early, in person, at the county clerk’s office in Fulton through 5 p.m. Monday, Nov. 2, with extra Saturday hours on Oct. 31.

Where and when can I vote early in Callaway County?

No-excuse absentee voting began Tuesday, Oct. 20, according to the Callaway County Clerk’s website. Any registered voter can vote in person without giving a reason. In-person voting at the election authority’s office ends at 5 p.m. Monday, Nov. 2, according to the Missouri Secretary of State.

The clerk’s office is in the Callaway County Courthouse, 10 E. 5th St., Room 104, in Fulton. Its regular hours are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, according to the clerk’s website. The clerk lists one Saturday session: the office will be open for absentee voting from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Oct. 31. Call 573-642-0730 to confirm hours before you go.

What do I need to bring?

Bring a photo ID, according to the Secretary of State: a nonexpired Missouri driver’s or nondriver’s license, a nonexpired U.S. passport, a nonexpired military ID, or another U.S. or Missouri photo ID that is unexpired or expired after the most recent general election. A voter without one can cast a provisional ballot. Registration closed Oct. 7.

What about voting by mail?

Mail ballots require one of the reasons in state law, and the deadline to request one by mail passed Oct. 21. Callaway voters who cannot vote early can still vote at their polling place from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 3. Polling places are listed in our Callaway County ballot guide, which also lists every race and measure on the ballot. The clerk’s polling place page and the Secretary of State’s voter lookup show a specific address.

Early-voting details for the other counties we cover are in our Boone, Howard and Cooper early-voting story.
