Biscuits, Beats and Brews

A Free Music Festival in Historic Rocheport, Missouri

ROCHEPORT, Mo — This year’s fall festival, Biscuits, Beats and Brews, was a free family-friendly event with plenty of opportunities to hear good music from regional musicians, drink craft beer and experience grape stomping, face painting, and a variety of artist booths held at Welbern Park in downtown Rocheport.

The second edition of Biscuits, Beats, and Brews is coming to Rocheport, Missouri! While this is the second year of the event as sponsored by Ozark Mountain Biscuit Company, this is the seventh annual fall festival held in the historic river town of Rocheport to be promoted by LV Creative!

This was my first year attending the event. I first heard about the event from neighbors about four weeks beforehand (mid-September). My wife and I put it on our calendar and made plans with friends to attend. I am so glad we did. We had the opportunity to view this great little town and all the visitors, friends and family that make this community so great in action. The weather was awesome with highs in the 70s and low 80s, clear as can be and dry.

The People

Everyone I met was nice, pleasant, helpful and there to have fun. The event is booked as family-friendly and it really was. Kids could run around in the open field, play Frisbee, dance and did not need constant minding. The adults were enjoying the music, the food, drinks and vendors. Everyone appeared to have a good time in this small-town music fest.

Bike, bikes, bikes. They are everywhere, super easy to get around and the festival is adjacent to the Katy Trail.

Conclusion

If the Biscuits, Beats and Brews is the same theme for next year, I say we are in for even better times. If you are a cyclist wanting to plan a great stop along the Katy Trail for a weekend or for a night, I suggest you consider it. If you enjoy bed and breakfasts, then I recommend getting weekend accommodations. Lastly, everyone, be prepared for some fun.
