How to enjoy the Rocheport Wine Stroll in 2023

Wondering what to expect at this year's Rocheport Wine Stroll? Here are some helpful tips.

What to Bring

Rocheport has some hills, so be mindful when picking out your shoes for the day. Remember your sunblock, sunglasses and/or hat as there is a lot of outdoor time on the stroll. Bring cash or a card in case you would like to purchase additional bottles of wine or other beverages from the vendors after sampling. Bringing a bottle of water could be a good idea although most vendors will have water in a water cooler available.

Getting to Rocheport

Getting to Rocheport this year may be a bit tricky. Make sure to check the roads and traffic before you leave and allow extra time for travel.

MoDOT has announced that the Route BB bridge over I-70 will also be demolished for reconstruction starting Friday, June 16th. This means:

  • Eastbound traffic on I-70 will not be able to use Exit 115 to access Route BB.
  • Route BB traffic will not be able to access eastbound I-70 at the overpass.
  • Westbound traffic on I-70 will be able to use Exit 115 to exit north on Route BB which is right next to Les Bourgeois Winery Tasting Room and 2 miles from Rocheport; however, to leave the Les Bourgeois Tasting Room or to leave Rocheport, an alternate route must be used such as Highway BB to Old Rocheport Road or the 240 Spur to Highway 40. (Yes, the 240 Spur bridge is now open!)

MoDOT has also announced there will be lane shifts happening this weekend on I-70 at the Rocheport Bridge, starting on Friday, June 16th, that will cause delays both for eastbound and westbound travelers on I-70.

  • Eastbound I-70 will narrow to one lane as traffic crosses and exits the existing Rocheport Bridge. Drivers will then be directed up and over the ramps at Exit 115 and back onto I-70 eastbound into two lanes.
  • Westbound I-70 will be narrowed to one lane as travelers approach Exit 115. Motorists will go over the on/off ramps and continue onto the newly constructed westbound Rocheport Bridge, where they will be able to use both lanes.

Still Need a Ticket?

Tickets will be available for purchase on-site the day of the stroll on Saturday, June 17 at Meriwether Café from 3:30 pm – 7 pm. Until Friday June 15, you can purchase your tickets online at the Missouri Wines. Additional information can be found on Facebook.

Getting Started — Pick up Your Wine Glass

Once you have a ticket, is necessary to pick up your wine glass so that you can begin sampling on the stroll. This year there are two times and locations where you can pick up your wine glass.
