Scott Morris had a simple plan for his new coffee shop in an 1860s downtown Glasgow building: open over Memorial Day weekend. Late April’s tornado changed that. Morris told KBIA his opening is on hold while he deals with damage from the April 27 storm that tore through Howard County.
The holdup isn’t paperwork by choice. Morris said his insurance adjuster wasn’t scheduled to inspect the building until May 15 — but he wasn’t willing to just wait around, and had already started rebuilding on his own.
