What a Saturday this will be. Along with the usual activities and shopping in town, there will be outside vendors and food available all day long. In the evening, there is a special event to raise community awareness and money for the Rainbow House in Columbia Missouri whose mission since 1986 is “To keep children safe and to support families in crisis through prevention, assessment, and intervention in child abuse and neglect.”
The Soul Skate will be held at Mount Nebo and goes from 6pm until 10pm. With four DJs in the lineup there will be ample opportunity for people to dance, skate, and mingle in the court yard and along the skate path, a road that encircles Mount Nebo. The court yard is decorated with accented patio lights, a fire pit, and hammocks. There is no excuse for not having a good time! If you can’t skate or think your skating days are behind you, please still join the party; there will be plenty of people sans skates. Overall, everyone is there to simply have fun and raise money. We hope to see you there and appreciate your support.
